Previously NSUT is an Autonomous Institution under Govt. of NCT of Delhi and affiliated to University of Delhi, Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology is a seat of higher technical education in India. It was established in the year 1983 as Delhi Institute of Technology with the objective of meeting the growing demands of manpower in the emerging fields of engineering and technology with a close social and industrial interface. Over a period of time, the institute has carved a niche for itself, both nationally and internationally, for excellence in technical education and research.The institute has grown leaps and bounds since its inception, both in size and in the scope of its activities. The overall academic environment in the institution is highly conducive for achieving excellence in education and research. It has been consistently ranked as one of the top engineering colleges in India and has featured prominently in various national level surveys conducted by reputed professional and trade magazines.
Most probably you will be entering through South gate (as entry of vehicles is prohibited from North gate) , you will be welcomed by a fountain and a beautiful lawn with many flowers . These lawns actually have special names , we call them Nesci lawns . Then you will be entering the administration block through Guitar Lane , the name is self explanatory. You will see Zayca , and moksha ground from there. Entering through administration block , you will have a view of different blocks that correspond to different departments as well as the library block. I would like to acknowledge the library block seperately , Its very big and one can find most of the books that he/she might need during his grad or even for advanced studies. There are many more places to mention but I won't be able to cover them in detail , there is student activity centre , which has Table Tennis court , Gym , Reading room . Sports grounds of NSUT , these include all types of courts which are well maintained lately . Student Center ( the new canteen of NSUT , which has subsidised rates and much more variety as compared to other three canteens ) , seperate hostels for each year , shopping complex , lovers lane , witch lane etc . It's still not that awesome as compared to its sister colleges like DTU , IIITD but its good and has total campus of around 145 acres. The main campus resides in around 25% of the total area.
